the only good pc component samsung make is mechanical hard drives. You wont see them in a few years when mechanical drives are dead and ssd has taken over

SSD drives are still too expensive for the average joe on the street to afford. Mechanical drives are still going to be around until the price of SSD's are on par with existing platter drives.

Best use for an SSD drive is to buy a small capacity one. Only install the Operating System on it and have a 10,000RPM - 7500RPM drive for everything else.

i did say that ssd's wont take over for a few years so the argument about them being too expensive is nullified. Evoss in a proper tower setup you are correct. However on the move with a lappy this isn't practical!

Indeed was just giving an example of where they can be used efficiently :).

once again i am being misread!

I like samsung. I have several of their drives in my system. I used one of their screens for several years and i have 2 of their TV's. Where in my post do i say samsung are bad? Their screens are very good! but a screen is not a pc component. Their ram is average. it does its job and is reliable but is not considered a leading brand of memory. Samsungs SSD's are average. They do not come close to the competition in terms of speed at the moment.
