Because they wouldn't refund me my £25 from a rr day I had cancelled a few days before it happened so I threatened them with small claims court. Only words I can think of are childish,  cry babies, sad and its not a forum, its a business

To be fair, if I was organising an event and someone cancelled a few days before it happened then I wouldn't have refunded anyone either. If you can't commit 100% to an event then don't commit in the first place and if you can't make it (for what ever reason) do the honourable thing and do not ask for a refund so late in the day, otherwise it just affects the cost of the whole event for everyone. I don't see what they did wrong there to be honest.
......now officially dubless.

...and in answer to the original question, I've alway been on here and always will be. If I go on clubgti, e38, dubforce or any of the others it's just because I'll nosey at the cars for sale sections, nothing else. I don't even own a VW anymore and I'm bored of the whole scene to be honest and I'm only on here due to the good mates I've met off here over the years. :afro:

I said about a week prior to event I may not be able to go due to starting a new job on the day of the event. A few days before, I said I couldn't go. The event was organized by a guy who owned the garage and was a member, so no rising costs to anyone.

so if you had bought show tickets ( for example Volksfest ) would you expect your money back from that too if you suddenly couldn't attend.

tbf, i duno how they do things over there, but if i have a member who cant make an event which costs, like a show, i simply sell their ticket to someone else, that way, the original person gets refunded and somebody else gets the ticket at cheaper cost...

Dress it up how you want, but in my opinion you were in the wrong on that one, which ever way you look at it.

Should that be the organisers responsibility to sell it or the peron who can't make it ? I know which I think it should be.

I'm sorry but if when I organized the JKM dyno day I started taking payments well before I doubt as many people would come. Yes a lot drop out on the day of the event but at least they have the safety of knowing they're not loosing out on money, and ending up disappointed like me.

And before you "lol", I was advised to threaten clubgti with a small claims court by someone who knows legal advise more than well enough. Clubgti just had a cry about it and quickly banned me before giving me a chance to speak out. A few people had dropped out and didn't get a refund, and at £25 a pop clubgti has made £100+ from nothing...That to me is theft.
