Recirc valve is it working?

Evening?

Got a 1.8t and just replaced the recirc valve as the one on it was the factory fit one and was fluttering when dumping.

However put the new one on and can't hear anything, I can hear the turbo spooking up, but don't hear the 'whoosh' dump noise I was expecting to hear.

Is that normal? As I could hear the flutter all the time on gear changes.

You will hear it sometimes usually when the air is colder

Only if yours is no good the Pipercross is ideal though
