Nice looking car, but I would say ditch the aftermarket airbox, it wont be doing you any favours whatsoever, and will almost certainly be strangling your car at top whack where it needs to breathe the most.  The induction setup looks pretty, I'll grant you that, but I have tinkered with almost the exact same setup and the engine just didnt breathe properly at all, it lacked alot at top end compared to modding your existing airbox (cold air feed, some extra holes in the box cold side and aftermarket panel filter) was much less responsive.  Those filters just dont allow enough air through when you hit 5krpm and above, waste of money, as I found out for myself

Love the seats though, look like they hold you through the corners!

Thanks for your comments mate and i understand your point and usually concour however since installing this setup and doing a top end run down my private run way i managed a good 147 ish mph at 6950ish rpm with a much smoother feel to the rev range through all gears. unlike the pipercross system which was originally fitted which seemed to hold the car back and have definate flat spots as you say near 4.5-5k revs. Luckily i didn't spend a penny on any of the stuff under my bonnet as two of my good friends work for forge motorsport and aquired it through them. These exact filters are fitted from forge for the likes of the new nissan gtr r35, audi tts/rs,golf gti mk5 t mk6 t, ibiza cupra, leon cupra and many more models all tested before and after fitment and all gain a good bhp and better breathing i'l add a link later and although these are turbo'd cars they assured me the results would be noticeable and i think they are we will find out when i get a rollin road figure next month  Cheers about the seats i think there definately a good option and they do hug you very well

Oh, and get rid of the naff looking orange badge!

Have no fear the 307 matts went today along with the grill I have now replaced it with a badgeless grill from a member off this forum

Loving the piperwork, looks

Are you going to get some matching samcos or something, finish your engine dress-up nicely they would.

Forge motorsport stuff is quality, a lot of the staff cars in redline mag etc use their set ups in their VWs. Thats the difference between quality and ebay

Over a standard setup with no cold air feed I might be inclined to agree with you that there will be a small (very small) bhp improvement, but it has been tested over and over, with various different setups over on clubgti (with back to back dyno plots) that the best setup is still the factory airbox, modded, with cold air feed and aftermarket filter.  My arse dyno would also disagree with you, there is just no way that that setup produces more torque or power.  I spent money on mine and trust me, I didnt willingly strip it all back off again after less than a week.  It is now sitting in a useless heap in my garage, it made my car gutless, when she is normally anything but.

But, if you like it, then stick with it, all I'm saying is that there is evidence out there that contradicts it.

Alright mate cheers for the comment yeah ive got the samco hose kit and magnecore leads on my wish list at the mo probs wont be able to get them now before end of june. Forge stuff is certainly tested and proven good quality stuff which is why there one of the leading companys for performance at the moment. I certainly feel as if its made a big improvement to the way my engine is performing at the moment

Cheers dennis i agree and see nothing wrong with your setup and understanding and of course your knowledge  I do however think my set up at the moment would be on par with it and unfortunately i can not prove this. I will be keeping it for now atleast as i do like the way it looks even if infact its useless

Looks SWEET!

cheers mate updates soon
