insurance question for damage which just happened

went to local docs as got a canceled appointment which is a result, whilst in the waiting room an old biddy came in say it winday and bits of tree are coming off, thought nothing of t(bits) well when i came out to car i found a foock off bit branch had smashed my scuttle pannel and put a decent dent in the corner of my roof right next to wind screen.


so can i claim or is it an act of god?or can i claim agaist the council as it there car park? does that take long? or just take it in the behind as just my luck and get it repaired on my own time.

You claim on your policy if your comprehensive but you will have your excess to pay and your no claims bonus will be affected. Good luck claiming against the council though you would need to prove they had done something wrong not just that it was their property that did it.
