Another garage rant
« on: 31 March 2005, 18:51 »
Why me? Just why?

Every garage I go to they seem to f*ck it up royally.

This time a recommended supposed good garage has had the car for two months. Total bill was 675 quid for work done.

I dont mind paying for good service, however i didnt get that.

1. One of the centre caps of my Schmidt TH lines is missing. God knows how much they cost and how long it will take to get one
2. MOT certificate was supposed to be dated a month today as the old one doesnt run out till then. Not done. Not sure if they can change it?
3. Horn wasnt fixed.

Its things like this that pi$$ me right off, make me think about buying a 1.1 fiesta.

The Mot needs to be dated from the date that its carried out, you cannot back date them. As for the rest!!!!! wouldnt return to the garrage.

you can forward date them if the existing MOT runs out within a month, only if you have the current one to hand mind, which I did.

You can have a mot for 13 months, if like you said you have the current one to hand and it has a month or more on it.

As for the rest of the cock ups, I'd demand a replacement centre at their cost and some freebie service!
