A storm in a teacup as usual.

MOT testers have had the power to fail a car deemed to be excessively noisey for donkeys' years. This isnt a new idea.

Our MOT chaps are yet to hear of most of the the nonsense quoted above.

Take a chill pill and stop worrying

BTW when is the last time a rozzer asked for a producer based on you having no cat installed?

That said I dont have to worry, I work at a car spares/garage/mot test station

they do stop checks sometimes, or vosa do or something

being in the country i haven't seen or heard of this happening to anyone..
ahh the good life

accept i can't find a job

stop checks usually involve drink driving/road tax/tyre condition checks from my experience.
Most of the time yeah

As long as it doesn't go across the board. I mean I'm not fussed about my exhaust but I know people with beetles that sound real good with there exhausts but is a lot louder than standard at about 4k

Speaking to the bloke who MOT'd my mk3 about this yesterday, he said unless the exhaust is stupidly loud or blowing/rusty/not secured properly it will be business as usual which is advise..pass...advise..pass etc.

Aston Martin, Ferrari's etc all run those valves as they are needed to pass noise regs, they open @ 4k revs

Most owners just pull the pipes off anyway
