Whenever i go to start the car (2.0 GTi), it just wouldn't start without revving the gas pedal, and then i would get the nasty screeching sound you get when turning the key too hard. I'm not sure if this is a common problem with Mk4s as the same thing happened with the 1.6 Mk4 we had before. Does anyone know what this problem is and would it be covered under warranty? I've never made a claim under warranty before, so i didn't know what to expect, but i rang the warranty department and they told me to take it to a garage and run a computer diagnosis on it, but i know that the computer will not show this fault up, as before with the 1.6 thus i would have to pay for the diagnosis. Could someone offer me some advice?
