Major issue with the clutch possibly

I have recently changed flywheel on my car which was making a noise and the clutch.
That resolved that issue but i am still getting one issue with my car. The car keeps moving forward when in first gear when you put your foot all the way to the bottom on the clutch. It also happens in reverse as you put your foot down it goes all the way back. I have to keep using my breaks to stop me going forward when stuck in traffic, as if i put myself in first gear the car would automatically go forward in first gear.
Its a weird problem, just cant seem to work out what the issue is. The car is a MK5 btw on a 54 plate.

Is there a way of adjusting the clutch? Sounds like it's not disengageing.

I would guess on a mk5 it would be hydraulic if so you could have a slave cylinder problem.
Or when the clutch was replaced something was assemblied wrong and it is sticking.

I am not sure i was thinking of bleeding it, but not sure if that would do anything?

It could well need bleeding you it would feel diffrent to what it used to if there is air in it, I know i recently did a MK4, i removed the slave from the gearbox but didnt touch any hydraluic lines, and somehow it managed to get air in it.... blead it and it was fine. worth checking.

Yeah i was thinking that it may need bleeding again, the thing is the guy has replaced the flywheel, clutch, slave and master cylinders. My flywheel has been resolved and clutch and also now it only drags forward when putting it in clutch on the odd occasion.
I will give it a go hopefully

If its been replaced, i reccon there will be air in it. Gravity bleeding works well, but get some one to pump it through a bit first, then let it drip for a while, should get any trapped air out.
