Milltek TBE (Resonated)
« on: 20 May 2011, 10:00 »
Need advice from all use serious modifiers
(Where as I just play at it when the spare cash comes along from my friendly bookies lol)

Recently added a new Exhaust for the performance gain and the looks.
(Just as well I wasn’t looking for a loud exhaust cos it’s on the quiet side

Contacted the company who done my remap (Celtic Tuning) and listed
the various modifications I have had done since the remap and asked do
they think I should have another remap to obtain the max out off the modifications.
To my shock they said no the existing software should be fine, but reading on various
posts most off use guys have a second remap (now I am confused help!!!!)

My mods are - Remap, Forge bypass valve & Intercooler, BMC CDA Induction Kit & Milltek TBE

Are you sure they said no. If you have had a Forge bypass valve & Intercooler, BMC CDA Induction Kit & Milltek TBE since having your remap then Im not really sure what Celtic Tuning are on about. There is more to be had out of your car with tweeks made to your map to take into account the additional mods.

It shocked me to   :undecided:

This is what was said Thank you for your enquiry.  The modifications you have added are mainly for aspiration and don’t require a software alteration.

If this is the case great, don’t have to try and pick a few more winners from Paddy Power
but would hate to think I have spent all that money and the car isn’t running at it full potential

Another remap won't really add that much additional performance. The biggest gains will be from a sports downpipe, then you will benefit from another remap. Save your money!

Edit - if you have the sports cat, then you will def benefit from stage 2 s/w. Thanks Alan.

He has a sports downpipe. He said he has a Milltek turbo back exhaust which means he has a larger downpipe.

Not essential but definitely wise to get the map altered After the exhaust, I'd go somewhere else as Celtic are obviously not keen.

I'd stick it on the rollers and see how the fuelling etc is looking under load.

Deffo not a waste of time.
