If the cars under warranty get the stealer to do it
Had all 4 done at various times on my Mark 5 . 2 down 2 to go on the Scirocco

I reckon it would be cheaper to buy them over the phone and get them to post them to you (or use TPS) than it would spend your own time and fuel going to the dealers for them to do it even if they were covered by warranty.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Yeah it's not worth my time arguing with them, I've seen them on eBay being sold by a VW guy at a really low price.

I'll order some tonight I think.

Definately would be doing a warranty claim myself.

Anyway, those are the correct ones BUT email him first as there are a newer type that are supposedly whiteworm resistant - make sure you get the right ones!

Hi mate, are these the ones that don't have the white worm?
Cheers,
Jim
No idea! The ones that are white worm resistant will have a clear plastic type covering over the chromed bits. The ones you would get from a dealer if you did a warranty exchange would be the later 'better' type!

Right, after nearly an hour pissing about on ebay (I knew I'd seen them on there somewhere!)

I still reckon you should do a warranty claim, just to make sure VW get hammered every time they fit substandard parts to overpriced cars!

Edit, it must be the last three letters that signify the newer part: XRW
