When I rang up to book this years sevice they told me I had the service plan once I gave them my registration.

As I got them to do an aircon refresh while it was in, the printout they gave me showed the aircon service, service and coil pack recall had been done.  It just doesn't list each item in detail like you get after a normal service.  I was reading posts on another forum about the service plan and they didn't get paperwork after either.

Car serviced yesterday, VW dealers do make me laugh.

Dropped the car off on the morning and the woman said the price and what was being done, then said we have a note to say your interested in a service plan. I explain that price agreed was in cluding the service plan. Then the woman said they dont do them and that £349 plan expired january??? I told her to go on the VW website  and speak to the woman i'd agreed the price with.

When I picked the car up another woman tried to charge me full price and not the agreed one, so had to sort that again.

Oil cap wasnt "clicked" tight, Longlife oil was used.

G12 coolant has been filled above the box image on the expansion bottle? should I be worried as there isnt really a max, more as long as its above the min level. IE not like having a min / max level on your oil.

Apart from that all good, and I got a copy of the service plan to prove i'd paid for it.

Also a note to anyone I was asked if I'd like a 1L bottle of top up oil, was only £10, chuffin bought some last month from halfrauds for £18 as well.

ours is in for service tomorrow.

Already been asked if we want aircon servicing and engine flush

I suppose they just hope that the person they deal with had no knowledge of cars.

Already told them not to worry about the road test and free wash from a blind person

All i want is an oil change, stamp in the book and as little involvement by
people who generally don't give a fcuk about your pride and joy !!

I hate taking car to garages - too many bad experiances.

I know, in all the mess sorting the service plan / costs out I forgot to mention NOT TO WASH the car.

No scratches / dents so all good, the quality of the wash was laughable, so many unwashed patches my car looks like a dalmation.

I would much prefer to take it to a garage i trust but alas VW warranty and don't fancy them using any sort of 'get out'

An example of bad work....when the car went in for coilpacks the lazy tech couldn't be bothered to take out the 2 torx screws
that hold the intake onto back of grille so decided that the best option was to take that very strong pipe clip and squash the inatke pipe with it. FFS ......

I really begrudge giving money to folks who don't give a monkey. I wnt the bear minimum req'd to get me a stamp
in book and i'm off. Don't want the waffle about tyres being worn, brake pads etc etc...........

if you check the 'whats done' between major and minor service I really can't see how taking the wheels off
and changing the airfilter warrant an extra £120 !!!

I know what you meant, I could of done the filters myself cheaper, just the oil change / plugs I havent got the tools to do it.

It needed the coil packs changing under warranty + cambelt so they might as well do the rest.

Noticed a little bit of oil on the drive that had dripped from where they didnt wipe away, how hard is it to use a rag and wipe!!!

I've noticed slight improvement now the coil packs and plugs have been done both in from factory new so where 5 years old. Myabe placebo though.
