MK3 Alarm / Immobiliser

Hi all,

Without sounding too Dim. I was just wondering if a 1996 P Gti should come with factory fit Alarm / Immobiliser and if it does when locking/unlocking should there be like any lights that flash etc to let you know its set?

My car is a 98 reg 8v and it did not come with an alarm as standard. In terms of the immobiliser that is built into the ignition/key. In other words without the key the car is virtually impossible to pinch.

I have not bothered fitting an alarm or an after market immobiliser to mine as the electrics on MK3's are temperamental at the best of times

Any alarm will be aftermarket or dealer fit.
