pain in the bum alarm!!!!

ello all.
iv got a mk2 16v on an 88 plate its got a clifford concept 50 alarm fitted to it.
the alarm dose not work propley so i was going to rip it out and get shoot of of it dose anyone know how to take the bloody thing of my motor.
and where would i start ?????? :laugh:

You may be better joing a car electronics forum and asking on there, or just taking her to an auto electricians/call one out to you

No, no one can tell you what to do without seeing it, or an accurate diagram of it all. Basically you've got to locate the alarm box, trace the wires from it and start cutting them out. Some immobilised circuits may need re-soldering/splicing back together, others just need removing etc. Do them one at a time, don't go mad and chop everything  It won't be that hard once you get stuck in and look at it. Wires like boot switch/ultrasonics/door sensors can stay in and just be cut off for now, and you can remove the trim and pull them out later, just make sure you identify them correctly before you get the cutters out. For a quick fix just cut all feeds and earths to alarm box etc, and reconnect any split (immobilised via alarm) circuits. Remember your removing the alarm wiring not chomping all the vw stuff. Easy peasy
