advice of getting boot spoiler off

any idea  :grin: it my vortex one to get my boot sprayed is £180... but iv found a fantastic condition one for £30 in same paint code, any idea how i go about removing old spoiler.. i dont really wana fook it up  :sick:

Good luck getting that off without breaking it! Its sealed on and I know of a few people snap them.

try heating it up but i doubt you would get it off

I can't justify paying £180 for it being sprayed, I'll keep it it and when I get a spare bit of ££ and I'll use it for the mk5 handle mod tbh but for £30 the rust patch in mine really annoys me lol

Thats an expensive quote. Laquer is lifting on my spoiler and I'm going to a reputable place who do mercs, lambos etc and I'm having:

Rust around rear window sorted, window out job and then boot resprayed
Spoiler resprayed
Mirrors resprayed as a freebie

And thats costing me £200.

That lot without window out would be £130... may be worth getting some other quotes :)

i need the whole boot sprayed  :grin: got one orderd for £30 just got to paint my handle and refit hopefully this weekend, iv got a little spray booth with a mate as we refurb alloy's on the side  :lipsrsealed:

try heating it up and use like a cheese wire to slide right underneath.. might scratch paintwork but your not bothered about that..
