manifold hose

hi i was wondering if someone can tell me what that hose does that ive pointed out in the engine bay ive got a hose that runs from that into the inside of the car and it is just hanging there it looks like its broke off somethink but i can seem to see where and if anyone can tell me what it is for as its just haging there sucking air in i know its ment to be somewere but i dont know were thanks
