had a mechanic look at my car, he stook his ear in the engine and said yep, theres an airleak lol

but cant look at it untill next week, and he doesent know how long it will take to find the leak,

i have looked at the back of the engine but cant see the turbo, theres a big metal pipe thing , and im assuming its under that

is there any easier way to get to the turbo to check the pipes myself
(the car is completely standard, it was owned by a paramedic, and i think im the only one to give it abit of welly, so im presuming a brittle pipe has just split)

hi daz, i havent had it scanned as there are no warning lights on dash, i run it on normal unleaded, the cheap stuff as it does seem to drink fuel, maybe that also has something to do with loss of power and fuel useage

is the cat converter a big job? i hope not,i can hardly afford to run it at the moment lol

could there be faults on the engine that dont make a light come on the dash?
