I was looking at this earlier whilst the engine was running and noticed that it sounded almost tappity.
Is this how they're supposed to sound?
Like the original poster, I was also considering the removal of my carbon canister and purge valve but was wondering what exactly what to do with all the pipes and cables that run to them.
Which ones needed to be joined, blocked or removed?also what happens to the the two electrical connector blocks - one on the top of the purge valve and the other on the sensor that is inside the air filter box?

Will disconnection of any of these affect running at all? Do any of the fuel vapour pipes need mini gauze filters attached to them?
