golf mk2 1.8 8v tunning??

hi im hopefully getin a golf mk2 1.8 8v gti,, its low milage, and im hoping to get more power out of it, so i was just intrested in what things you can do to this engine im looking at spending under £1000 , many thanks. james

hi . there are many things you can do like drop a fast cam ,k&n filter ,up grade the exhaust system etc....

Best option is to switch to a 2.0 bottom end, plus change the camshaft.
