Steering Rack

Trying to get out the steering rack on the Limited

Everything is disconected but can't get the bl**dy thing out of the gap between the chassis leg and teh sub frame.

Does anyone know if you have to drop the sub frame?  I hope not

Cheers

i brought a 16v golf early last year and broke it up, i removed the steering rack as i had a buyer, (manual rack) dont ask me how, but i did manage to wiggle the fecker out of there, it came out the drivers side in the end, think i had to remove the down pipe as it was catching on that, i think lowering the subframe would be the easier option, i sold me rack for £20, but i think it took me nearly 2 hrs to get it off so i should have charged more really!!
