« on: 11 May 2011, 19:29 »
Hello guys, thought I would join and say hello!

I don't have a golf yet, but am on the look out for a mk2 golf gti

I currently own a mk5 astra sport hatch diesel which has been my car for commuting, but i got a new job and will be getting the train so don't need the car

I have always want a mk2 since i was 17 so 10 years later i am hoping to finally do it and get one!

what do i need to look out for when buying a mk2??

Any advice would be great!

cheers Rob

I need to tidy up the front end, it has some mk4 style headlights and the fogs/indicators have been painted over :(

Need some normal headlights and put the old fogs and indicators back to standard, respray the bumper as it mullered! the car is royal blue

Will get it remapped because its using way to much fuel! did 110 miles on 22 litres but i was driving it hard so not sure if its ok

Oh it has colour concept black recaros in it to :)

Yeah every car has a few little niggles, and to be honest i expect you will be able to sell the Mk4 style lights out of it for reasonable money any way.. I have seen alot of Mk3 with the indicator and refector painted black.. personall taste tho.
Cant wait too see it :) I like the sound of colour concept interior!!
