budget wise im looking up to 100 quid for the right bag. I will add i would prefer to buy it in a shop.

I've got a lowpro Fastpak 250 which holds all my kit and my MacBook. Was about £60 off amazon.

well was in argos earlier and came across this and having some vouchers meant it cost me like £15

very happy with it so far, and also like how it doesnt look like it holds expensive gear.

Lowe pro fastpak 250
crumpler muffin top 7700
Tamrac PRO DIGIT ZOOM 7
trolley case with custom foam padding

basically you wont find one perfect bag.  The fastpak is the most versatile as it's airplane carry-on size and can take quite a lot of gear + a laptop.
