cleaning throttle body

im about to clean my throttle body, i know where it is but im not sure what to/not to do. Can anyone help please? :embarassed:

Theres 4 bolts mate mine were hex head if i remember rightly take them off and the throttle body comes free with pipes attached. i then cleaned mine with pipes attached as the T/B wasnt too dirty if yours is bad the obviously disconnect and clean with carb cleaner.

half hour job mate easy peasy! :cool:

i did mine from the other side, remove air box and take off the intake pipe from the TB end, (just the spring clip) left the breather etc connected.

spray a bit of carb cleaner onto the butterfly (closed) and clean, then get someone to push the accelerator pedal in (engine off!!!)  :laugh:  spray some more cleaner in there and clean as far as you can reach, i just did mine with an old microfibre cloth. shouldnt take more than an hour.
