those that have changed the intake when it dumps is it a slight chatter or just a single dump?

Its more of a chatter
don't know if it does it with the standard exhaust on, cos i got the Miller put on at the same time

thanks i had this noise on a friends mk6 he had the cat back system installed, he just wanted a single dump rather than the slight chatter so removed the filter.. i liked it though :)

I assume it's a a cylinder type filter?
Could I just remove the filter and fit a cheap cone filter so it's straight through? Just while I saved £300 odd for the ITG :(

You can but it won't work as well.

Your going to see a major benefit if your running a stage 2 or above.

DRC, as SteveP has said, the ITG Maxogen seems to be the best intake available for this engine.

I have one for sale if your interested?

Selling due to selling my GTI :embarassed:

Will I see any (how much?) benefit from CAI, either Carbonio or ITG, put into GTI with only Revo stage 1?

Just trying figure out if CAI would be really worth spending the £200-£250...
Thx.

On the Mk6 the stock intake is good so the gains are less than on the likes of the Mk5 on the TFSI engine.

The throttle response and the sound were the gains I was pleased with.

the new ITG one for the TSI looks good also, although its enclosed now rather than open
