id say slow the frame rate to 24fps on playback as it seems a little fast to me

this is a very good guide and also includes how to work out what intervals to shoot at etc..

I can see why video editors want very high spec computers now

It's very card and time-intensive!

I had the tripod locked to various things on the wharf yesterday to try and minimise the chance of some b*gger walking off with it!

In terms of the cost of photography kit though, the £25 for the interval timer is pretty reasonable.

I'd probably drop the frame rate slightly, but great choice of subjects

opposed from just using the quick release   theft is my main concern for a project like this.

It's a very old tripod - it has no quick release that I'm aware of and I am capable of doing the lock-screw underneath up VERY tight!

I have a further section from where I had the camera on the roof, which is where it ran out of card space.

FWIW I started it shooting at before 9AM and it ran until mid-day on the first battery.  The second was fine after filling up the second card.

Must remember to check there's not 1 1/2 Gig of photos in another folder on the card next time - an error of school-boy proportions!

Early start this morning:

It's going to be there all day, with a shot every 30 seconds, until sun-down.
