I've just done a quick search of ebay. There are quite a few mirrors listed on there from breakers but if you search for mk6 Golfs breaking there are loads. It may be well worth contacting a few of those sellers as you may find one in the right colour that is both electric and heated too.
It'll be about a third of the cost or less than a new one and if it goes kaputt you can still claim under warranty for it as VW aren't to know you changed it to one off a scrapper (ssshhhhh, did I really just say that?)
