Hey all have got the standard rcd 300 in my gt tdi and was wondering if anybody knows anywhere close to sheffield that would be able to fit me an ipod adapter, i got the car second hand and it obviously didnt have the option installed from new... car is a 54 reg...
am just sick of the single cd and just wanted more variety of music without having to change cd's all the time
cheers

the rcd300 is really poor with the ipod, the one i had in my car just said track, so u had to look at the ipod to see the track name.
really easy to install, shame ur not close to me i would install it for free as i was going to bin it.

thats a shame ur way too far away, was also looking at getting a newer headunit too as i do think the rcd 300 is pretty basic.. but will probably just get the lead unless the right headunit comes along

The sound system in my GTI (basic 300 model) is the worst I've had for donkey years.
There are lots of speakers all over the place but sound is muffled, weak and distorted.
Perhaps replacing the CD/radio with a better one helps?
