Personally i'd change a cambelt every 40k or 4 years. After nosing through your previous posts i'm guessing you bought the x reg 2.slow? If so it
should be on it's 3rd cambelt by now

I'd get it done asap, really not worth taking the risk of it going if you have no proof of it being changed. As mentioned above Mk4 water pumps are made of chocolate and should be replaced at the same time

With regards to cost the cambelt kit for my mk3 was about £70 from VW which included tensioners etc. If your not fitting it yourself budget for about 3 hours labour on top of the cost of the kit & water pump, and buy genuine!
