New Kid
« on: 07 May 2011, 08:04 »
Hey

I thought that I would introduce myself to the MK5 gang. My names is Daniel and a once my house sale goes through (next few weeks) I'll be getting myself one. I've always wanted one, and I'm finally at the age where I can afford to insure and run it.

I've got a few plans ready, mainly... R-Tech remap, milltek full system exhaust and the general pretty bits.

Try before you buy.  The main danger is crash damage.  The car should run a true as an arrow.
Mk5 GTI's are great bargains at the moment with the cattle herd all mooing for diesels.

There's only really two things to think about
1 Doors
2 Transmission

all the other stuff about winter kits, leather, head units etc is just there to spoil your focus on buying the best (uncrashed) car.
Currently digging a bunker.
