GTI, a good compromise for a PETROL performance Golf.

Yesterday, I did an mpg comparison with a work colleague's Audi S3 Auto/DSG (whatever) Sportback and my manual GTI driving from work (Kings X) to West London, an 8 mile journey in some of the worst traffic conditions. Both our cars had full tanks of petrol (you know the clean stuff!). At the end of this momentous journey my average mpg was 26.1 and his 16.3!

I am so glad I did not buy an R as I would be loth to have a full fledged relationship with the guys in the Total petrol station.  :lipsrsealed:

So, ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, lads and lasses, maybe these mpg figures will temper your lust for an R.  :wink:

No where near that simple chap, I think you wouldn't really see much of a difference if you doth drove the same route etc

I followed him all the way and had to put up with his ugly arse for 45 minutes.
