Rear view camera removed from ordering.......

Strange.....i orderd my new GTi yesterday (retrofit xenon was to much work, so orderd a new GTi with xenon  ) but the camera option was still on....

I disagree, i find it works best in dark wet conditions, now sunlight on the screen!

Just got back from the states and the advert for the passat cc seemed like it was on every 20 minutes! And guess what the big selling point was..........




Yup, the rear camera! Could this be the reason we can't have it? Because the yanks are having them all!!

Wouldn't put it past VW,

Example I ordered an R32 main front grill baring in mind I paid nearly £400 for it at the dealers it was on back order for 6 months because the yanks wanted the grills with no holes in them so the grills that where being made where all bound for the USA. I cancelled my order in the end and bought a full GTI front end

Well I ordered the parts for the camera kit today for a retro fit and there are plenty available and no stock advisory notes on the system so it doesn't appear to be a supply issue

Could it have anything to do with new models possibly having DAB? I don't think it's possible to combine the two for some reason.

New Models having DAB, where's that come from?  I might have missed it in the MY2012 Spec somewhere to be fair!

I'm just guessing that all models will have DAB at some point. I don't know when this will be though.
