Hi people! Just 3 days ago i finally went and bought a mk4 gti 1.8t 5dr in satin silver.I've wanted one for a few years now and have previously had an audi a3 3dr 1.8t so i'm familiar with the engine and build quailty, but have always fancied a golf! So now i have it, so thought i'd join up to here as its always nice to keep in touch with other veedub owners and can maybe pick up some tips along the way, will keep you informed with any thurther mods i do to her.
I was lucky to find this one with full recaro blue/black heated interior,full electric pack,has been lowered 35mm all round it also has a set of lush 18inch bbs ch's on,8j at the front 9j at the rear with 2 new bridgestone tyres at the front and 2 good falken tyres at the back.uprated forge recurc valve,remapped(supposed 237bhp but im gonna check that,sports cat,new clutch 3k ago,cambelt and water pump changed 9k ago,it's a 99 reg,full service history,years m.o.t and 6 months tax,i thought the £2000 i paid was a bargain!
It does need some touching up here n there,but can be expected for a 99 model but otherwise it is mint!so happy i've got her.look forward to talking to you all :smiley:will upload some pics when i get a chance but thought i'd introduce myself first.
