16v still wont run.

hi guys, just spoken to VW and they say they don't stock a separate hall sensor for the 16v, so I would need to buy the whole distributor.

However gsf sell an ignition pulse sensor p/n 923vg0180
Euro car parts also do a facet pulse sensor p/n 418440100.

My question is will they fit/work or are they really for the 8v or other models?

Does anyone know where else I can obtain a hall sensor?
