isv problem....I think...help!

Have been working on my mk2 digi today,thought id remove the isv and clean it out.Have done so but now car wont start.It fires up but cuts out after every turnover!Took electrical connector off and it will tick over(farting and spluttering) and then cut out when throttle is pressed.Does anyone know how to get her started?

does the ISV still buzz (touch it - u will feel it vibrating) when you turn the ignition on?

if not then i reckon you've broke the wee wires in the electrical connector

Yeah,it still buzzes when ignition is on.Cant understand what ive done.....Heres what else ive done today just to rule out another mistake somewhere else.:

Drill air box
check distributor cap/rotor arm

Yhats all ive done,cant imagine ive done anything wrong.

Made sure distributor cap was put on correctly and that all leads were firmly in place.Im starting to get stressed now,its baffling me.

I also reset the ecu by removing blue temperature switch and revving over 3000rpm 3 times,but the car was running fine after this and prior to the isv clean.

is the air flow meter plugged in? just a thought as when you took the air box out to drill it you would have unplugged it, or maybe something else in that area?
