leccy windows
« on: 02 May 2011, 21:30 »
ok so i was messing around in the golf today mk1 clipper, and i noticed that the passenger side window wasnt working properly, so i stripped the door card off, regreased all the runners and still no joy. i then realised that a previous owner had butchered the door for some reason??
it looks like someone has fitted electric windows?? badly!!!!! can i convert them back to manual windows by just taking out the motor? they dont work properly anyway!!!!!
cheers sean

If the bolt holes are still there for the old windy regulator, then yes.  Or go and find a new motor to swap over, as if the requlator and wiring are ok, then it is usually the motor that causes the headaches.
