Just saying hello.
After far too many years and far too many boring family cars I have just bought my first GTI
2001 1.8 T GTI in silver. I have to be honest in that it was a bit of an impulse having initially thought the insurane would be way too high.
After deciding I deffinately wanted a Golf I looked at a few non GTI samples but all were a little tatty, wrong colour etc etc.
Then it happened I saw the GTI. A quick dash home checked the insurance and found it was not much more per month than I am currently paying. My budget went out of the window, much to the delight of my wife who is a bit of a car fan.
The car is in excellent condition, inside and out, fully maintained with FSH. It was only £600 more than I had been looking to pay but it is a world away from the non GTI examples and other ford's, vauxhall's etc
I will be checking in for advice hints and tips etc.
