Well I have found the water leak, the grommet around the bonnet release cable is missing, I guess we must have caught it when fitting the boost gauge, I have filled the hole with silicone.

Need to sort out drying the foam out now, may wait until I fit the darker carpet.

Skoda have tracked a servo pipe down, collecting it in the morning.

Got a spare grommet here if you need it Wayne. Make sure the fuse box lid is on tight, as I had a leak from where i fitted my boost gauge through the same place, sealed it with a grommit and silicon, then it carried on leaking, took it all off and someone had knocked the fuse box cover off by about 2mm. Good luck on getting it all dry.

I wonder why Skoda can't do what VW do? With every part I've ordered VW can have it in the next day, even if I order late in the afternoon  :undecided:
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

Pain in the ass... at least you've sorted the leak... why did your policy get cancelled!?

I cancelled it, been with Swinton for a few years so asked the question of covering a remap and was told yes, however when I rung them to sort it they told me no and I would need the specialist dept, so paid the money to cancel it and start a new policy which after going through it seemed all ok until that is the docs arrived believe it or not it had a bhp limit of 190 so little room for a remap.

8 days cover ended up costing me nearly £140 and complaining got me nowhere.

I am now with Brentacre.

I will get it dry as I am changing the carpet soon.

Don't VW do  the same parts? Might be worth checking with them in future, if you have a local VW dealership that is.

Mine were normally next day delivery if I ordered early enough.  They were excellent right up to the point they stopped supplying Audi, Skoda and Seat parts

I have been trying to find out if a Golf mk4 one is the same but not had much luck at the minute.

Seems daft that a safety related item is no longer available.

Wel  I am trying to find out if a Golf mk4 or Leon is the same, Skoda cannot supply one, the one that is listed for my chassis number is not even close to being right.
