Not yet, maf arrives tomorrow so will be fitting it asap as they are exchange.

Have managed to sort one fault code tonight by fitting a new brake light switch, was suprised how different the new one was.

what other codes did you have ??

how much was your maf and wher edid you buy it?

Got mine from audi, worked out at £103 with the VAT and i gave them my old one back

I avoided eurocarparts because iv read on the  S3 and  LCR forums loads of theirs a faulty out the box !!  always good to test the flow on vagcom after and work out the BHP.

My old one was only giving me 189 bhp so i was about 30 down on power!!, new maf fitted and it was back to full power and the gears were a lot longer and now holds boost longer and spikes at 17psi which is good for standard map

Have you considered fitting a boost gauge, they are very very good for visual aid

The main codes were brake light switch (sorted now) the usual 17703 plus 17536 which is one of three things, MAF, Oxygen sensor or
Fuel injector so after speaking to Rhys tried it with the maf unpluged and seems better so went for that as a 1st step.

Did price it from Skoda £99 with vat, went direct to Bosch through work and paid less.

I am thinking of a boost gauge but it is money at the minute, so many things need funds yet I am trying to stick to a plan if that makes sense, next month I want to change my chav alloys as a 1st step plus hope to have this problem put to bed so I can move onto the next stage.

Faulty maf wont show up on Vagcom but a faulty map may throw up codes for other stuff because its not wiorking correct (if this makes sense)

so yea as expensive as they are its always good to change it. Some dude told me if i dont know when mine was last doen - change it regardless!!

and was also told the start to go faulty as little as 30k miles (mines done 40k)

Deffo get a boost gauge when u can they are not that expensive but are well worth having

They get weaker and weaker slowly, so you may not realise your not running at peak power. mine is night and day faster now, holds on in each gear much longer..

when i un plugged mine, their was zero change in how the car ran
