So I had a plan to paint the mirror covers.

Seemed simple enough  :lipsrsealed:

Wrong, after speaking to a few people including Thom, it was still not clear on how they come off, so today rung Skoda who confirmed that the mirror glass needs to be removed and then you will see 2 screws behind which hold the cover on.

So tonight armed with this new info I tried again and broke the mirror glass  so have now given up painting them as a bad / stupid idea and in the morning need to order a new mirror glass.

Why is it what looks to be a simple job ends up a complete ballache.

Since you've broken the glass anyway surely now is the perfect time to get the covers off?

That is what I am thinking now, was only doing the mirrors as they had some marks.

Sounds like you're getting this back to tip top condition... nice one.... shame about your mirror though.. how much is it going to cost to get your new bumper done?

Bumper is around £150 plus Spraying £120, then you have new trim: £37 plus a S/h Grill set: £35 due to overspray on the old items.

Not the cheapest way to sort it but will get some money back when I sell the old one.
