Major job for today, after checking through all the paperwork, I could see no record of the oil pick up pipe having been replaced, the general view is that it needs replacing around 75k, mine was near 116k so got the parts and one of the engineers in work offered to sort for me as I was working, all in all took just over 2hrs, also fitted a new oil filter.

I was shocked at the state of the pick up pipe, it was nearly blocked so could have been very expensive soon.

I have also today got around to replacing the indicator that will not dry out, not easy to find s/h as vRS is different,

Good job! :afro:

Also did you replace the pickup or just clean it, is it an easy job to do as I am approaching the 75k milestone and this seems tempting.

Wayne, can you give me an idea of the economy you're getting out of this and what sort of driving you do? Very very tempted to get a red one of these. So much car for the money.

About 40 MPG on a nice long steady run. 25ish around town. I would have thought. :)
