Well it did not need a new caliper 

In the last 10mins it has passed the new caliper helped a little (sod all difference to be honest) plus giving it a long test drive and really warming the pads up.

God only knows what it is going to cost, as a goodwill gesture he has given me a free mot and the old caliper back to resell.

So just the labour bill to sort in the morning.

Wish me luck.

Plus time to find the fault, all @ £70 per hour

Trust me, it takes a lot for me to lose my rag but they have had the car since 10.00 Tues.

What really finished it off was the fact he told me I needed a new caliper yet could not supply one, so I end up ringing around to get it all sorted only for it not to need it. 

One last point this is not some dodgy back street garage but a Skoda main dealer.

y couldnt skoda get a caliper for a skoda. surly they should be able to find one asap and surly they should be able to fix a problem and get the car back quickly as they are a profesional garage.

They ordered it but it was on back order with no delivery date, he did say that could be early next year so I went to VW and got one.

You hope they can fix a problem but at times I felt they did not have a clue.
