mk3 1.6 auto distributer

Hi all,
I have a mk3 gl 1.6 auto, it needs a new distributer, however my mechanic claims he can't get hold of one. The reason being the distributer is made by lucas, he says all other mk3's have bosch, but the auto has a lucas, and no one seems to have one.  Is this true, and does anybody know if they are interchangable.

Agreed, I can't see why the dizzy would be any different on an auto than a manual.

You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.
