got these shortly after this thread, nothings gone wrong with them, none of them have seized or are squeeking. only thing i'd say is they recommend changing the top mounts, do it!, i didnt for the first couple month and the old ones were making a horrible knocking sound at low speed. put new ones in and everythin is fine. i'd say there good for the price :afro:

Nice one! Cheers. I shall be looking into it as the more important things get ticked off the never ending list!

I have the Hot Tuning TA Technix ones, were on when I bought the car and have a reciept for fitting from 2008 and they are still holding up well. Only slight corrosion to threads, which could be sorted with a wire brush and some WD40. As mentioned the ride is reasonable for the price, and for cheap ones they are well worth the money imo

Cheap coilovers on a Mk3 are aweful, its like Mackerel fishing off tintagel on a good day.
Even if only for looks you will soon get pissed at the shocking ride and the loss of your front splitter.

Save your money and buy a proper set imo

if your going super low don't waste your money on good coilovers,  because a really low car handles like a sack of cat sh!te.

if you want to throw it about on some back roads and have fun, get a good set and lower it no more than 60mm.

I drive low and slow and payed £170 for mine
