Silly question, Is the boot button on the fob ment to open the boot. (as in open it with out me touching it) or does it just unlock the boot?

ive never known it to open it.
It will just unlock the boot if the rest of the car is locked.

if the cars locked, you hold it down to just open the boot. when you close the boot, it auto locks again so dont leave the keys in there!

Unlock, not open.

Pay close attention, someone at work did this in their Bluemotion and someone had to drive out to them with the spare key.
