bonnet mod

i know you can use the rear boot pistons to mod the bonnet, BUT do the pistons off other makes work just as well???

got a vectra thats ready to get scrapped and i'm thinging of trying them on my bonnet

If its going to the scrap man why dont you take em off anyway and try and test fit em? Providing there long enough and the holes line up i guess its fine lol

If they're shorter the bonnet wont open as wide. If there longer it will open a bit wider simple

Also worth remembering that if they are really designed for a heavy tailgate you could end up bending the bonnet.

iv got the boot struts but they havent got the bolts etc at the ends to attach... where can i get these from?

You can buy nice shiny chrome ones like I did for about £15.

I have them on mine fitted by the previous owner.

They are aftermarket and very soft so maybe thats a good bet?

Yes it's only holding up a bonnet.
