brake disks what caused this!

any idea what caused this,.....under 3 years daily driver not track abused....on a mk3 tdi...

Where did you buy them from?

Lots of companies online and e bay selling substandard discs/pads

black diamond ones brand new in boxes from reputable company too

Hi i had black diamond drilled and grooved discs on my golf and they did the same as that within a couple of years too!

Poor quality porous castings. When the disc gets hot then cold then hot then cold etc etc the tiny holes in the sh!tty castings start to form cracks and then bits of the disc start to fall off

As above, also grooved discs are not really needed for road use.

What he said  Pointless unless running massive power or you like buying a lot of brake pads

Switch to a bigger set up then

thats the plan not 100% sure whats needed...280mm disks (4 hole) and gti capliers and cariers?
