At the moment we are deciding what to do. It aint my cars so I'm just getting involved as its my brother and would be cool to work on a project like that. He wants to do something insane with oldschool golf. And he already has a 4 motion and a mk1 caby so we are looking into what to do and what's involved. His mate has done a few mad builds in the past already.

It would be quite cool, but a V6 in a Mk1 is a bit of a heavy choice.

If you've already got it though, may as well!

What's wrong with the Mk4?

Nah, I agree.. Mk4s are cack.

But why rip apart a working car when you could sell it, buy a sensible, cheap run around while the conversion is taking place and get a decent donor car which has been written off?

There's a guy on here called gl48lee who is trying to shift an AGU engine, box, dash, ECU, turbo, intercooler... the lot.

He can't stand the mk4 but like the power and handling if u no what I mean. He got other cars so he just wants a mad project to do.
He don't mind buying a car to convert ither. Would the conversion be easyer on a mk2 golf as its bigger?
We are looking at making a wicked oldschool car out of his 4motion and an old golf.

personally that engine would be crap in a mk1.. better off putting a 4wd 1.8t lump in.. atleast it will be f**king fast and handle really well.. the v6 will just veer off into a ditch lol get a written off S3 and just drop everything and scrap the shell..
Mk4 Golf GTI anniversary and mk6 golf tdi :)
