4motion to mk1 conversion

Ok my brother has a mk4 golf V6 4motion and a mk1 convertible.
Me him and his mechanic mate has decided to try a conversion. Running gear engine the lot.
He has asked me to ask you guys has this been done before buy any of you guys?

Getting the 24v lump in a mk1 bay will require some chopping, and the floor pan will need replacing due to running gear.
Try VWvortex for any info, because in the years I've been on here, I've never seen anyone attempt it.

Yeah we bo there will be a lot off chopping involved. We are up for the challenge.

Powernut put a turbo 2.8/3.2 in his mk1 caddy with all the 4wd system. Take a look for his threads.

Good thing about Mk1's is that chrome can actually look good.
