Usually from August onwards, but saying that, I bought a MY 2000 Mk4 GTI in June 1999.

So the GTd i've ordered which is to be built in week 29 should be a 2012 model?? If that's true, i would like to know also if there are any changes to the 2011 model

I think the dealers got the bulletin last week, maybe give your contact at your dealer a ring and ask them what if anything has changed.

There is a model year change at around week 22. Then there is a slight tweek to the specs at around week 45. So he is sort of right but its a cheaky way of saying it. As there is one change per model year (week 45-46) but the model year changes at around week 22.

I have been off for just over a week and back tomorrow and will post any findings I get from vw desktop.

Spoke with dealer who has checked VW desktop back to start of April, apparently no information on any changes as yet.
