I am on standard Monzas at the moment and i find that getting brake dust and the odd spot of tar off to be a real pain and it's giving me pause for thought as i am going to get some BBS CH 18's which will be a lot harder to keep clean i suspect.

My monzas just wash clean due to the wax. I sealed them with jetseal109 and I have the fronts done with http://www.juicydetailing.co.uk/soft-waxes/collinite-super-doublecoat-auto-wax-no.-476s-9oz/flypage_images.tpl.html wax and the rears with autoglym wax, but the rears the tar and brake dust seem to stick to now unlike the fronts were it just washes straight off. I hope to get some time soon to clay/polish/clean/wax the rears again with the same product as the fronts as it makes washing them every couple of weeks a simple task.

I use the Poorboy's Wheel Sealant. I put 4-5 coats on (virtually used a whole tub) before winter the found the stuff to be excellent. The wheels wash easily and the coating is still going strong. Amazing stuff. The monza alloy shape are a breeze to clean.

Read recently that wheel wax / sealant was a bit of snake-oil.
Not that it doesn't work but rather, its the same wax / sealant that is used for the body work but manufacturers just up the price and change the packaging.
Wish I had known this before shelling out a small mortgage on various waxes.

Only have five bottles from Eurochem which take care of the entire car.

I think dedicated wheel wax/sealant are designed to withstand hotter temps.

That's the job for tomorrow on the wifes vancouvers. I generally use PB wheels sealant for two coats then top with a single coat of Swissvax autobhan.

When I say 'the' job, it's one of the jobs. It also needs a machine polish to remove dealer holograms and wash marks. She got the car in January and now the suns out it needs some TLC, especially being met black

It'll be washed then into the garage over the weekend until I machine polish it and get a few layers of Best of Show on it, so it'll not get a sniff of pollen over the weekend or daylight.

I'm looking forward to using my new Snow Foam and lance to get rid of the pollen without damaging the paintwork
